SupaTuff® Heavy Duty Nylon Dog Collars

For strong, active and adventurous dogs, our heavy-duty collars prioritise durability, security and function. The Rogue Royalty SupaTuff® range is engineered as an alternative to ordinary collars that rely on lightweight materials and plastic hardware. Premium webbing, robust construction and stainless-steel fittings make these collars particularly suited to active dogs, training, outdoor use and owners who demand more from their equipment. They are made in three width profiles for all types of dogs and puppies from Slim fit 25mm, Regular Fit 40mm and Wide Fit 48mm wide.

Best for: strong dogs, active dogs, outdoor adventure and serious everyday use.

Studded Leather Dog Collars

Our studded dog collars combine premium leather craftsmanship with unmistakable Rogue Royalty styling. From understated hardware to bold statement designs, these collars are made for owners who don't believe functional dog equipment has to look ordinary.

Best for: premium leather, distinctive styling and dogs with attitude.

Chain & Cuban Link Dog Collars

Our chain and Cuban link dog collars deliver a completely different aesthetic. Designed as premium statement collars, the collection combines substantial metal construction with bold styling for owners looking for something beyond a conventional leather or nylon collar.

Best for: statement styling and premium street-inspired looks.

Training Dog Collars

Training requires the right equipment for the dog, handler and intended application. Our training collar range includes purpose-specific designs for greater handling and communication during training. Choosing the appropriate collar should take into account your dog's size, temperament, training level and the way the equipment will be used. For dogs requiring maximum durability during active training or working applications, explore our heavy-duty SupaTuff® range alongside our dedicated training equipment.

For training, control and clear communication between dog and handler, Rogue Royalty Brass Slip dog collars and Martingale Dog Collars combine proven training designs with premium metal construction.

Our Brass Slip Collars provide direct leash communication through a smooth action that tightens under tension and releases as tension is removed. Their simple construction eliminates plastic buckles and clips, providing strength and responsive handling for structured training.

Our Martingale Collars use a controlled limited-slip action, tightening only to the adjusted limit before releasing when leash tension is removed. This provides effective communication while offering additional security for dogs that may back out of conventional collars.

Designed for obedience, structured training, strong dogs and responsive handling, both styles provide purposeful alternatives to a standard everyday collar.

Best for: training, handling and purpose-specific control.

The Right Collar Starts with the Right Fit

We understand not all dogs are built the same. A narrow collar that works beautifully on a fine-necked dog may be completely inappropriate for a large, muscular dog. Likewise, unnecessarily heavy hardware and excessive width can overwhelm a smaller dog's neck. That's why we developed different collar widths and fits rather than treating every dog as one size and shape.

Slim Fit Dog Collars

Our Slim Fit collars provide a lighter, more proportionate profile for smaller dogs, fine necks and owners who prefer a minimal collar design. They retain the materials and styling Rogue Royalty is known for without unnecessary width or bulk.

Regular Fit Dog Collars

Regular Fit collars provide a balanced everyday profile for a broad range of dogs. They're an excellent starting point for owners wanting the combination of comfort, durability and proportion without moving into a particularly slim or wide collar.

Wide Fit Dog Collars

Our Wide Fit dog collars are designed for dogs with larger or more muscular necks and for owners who prefer the security, coverage and visual presence of a wider collar. A wider profile distributes contact across a greater area of the neck and can provide a more proportionate fit on large and powerful dogs.

The correct width is about your dog's build and intended use not simply choosing the biggest or strongest-looking collar.

How to Choose the Best Dog Collar for Your Dog

The best dog collar is the one that properly matches your dog's neck size, build, activity and purpose.

Start by asking four questions:

1. What will the dog collar be used for?
Everyday walking, training, outdoor adventure and statement wear can require very different collar designs.

2. What material suits your dog's lifestyle?
Choose premium leather for craftsmanship, comfort and timeless style; SupaTuff® for demanding active use and durability; or chain and statement designs when aesthetics are the priority.

3. What collar width suits your dog's build?
Fine necks generally benefit from a slimmer profile, while larger and more muscular dogs can benefit from a wider collar.

4. Have you measured your dog's neck?
Never select a collar from breed or body weight alone. Measure the neck where the collar naturally sits and compare that measurement with the individual product's sizing.

Use our Dog Collar Size & Measuring Guide before ordering.

Leather vs Nylon vs Chain Dog Collars

There is no single material that's right for every dog.

Leather

Quality full-grain leather develops character with age and, when properly cared for, becomes increasingly supple. It is an excellent choice for owners looking for craftsmanship, comfort, longevity and premium styling.

Rogue Royalty's leather range includes classic everyday collars alongside bold studded and luxury designs.

SupaTuff® Heavy-Duty Nylon Webbing

For dogs exposed to frequent outdoor activity, training and demanding conditions, high-quality synthetic webbing provides excellent strength and practicality.

Our SupaTuff® range is built specifically around this philosophy, pairing durable webbing with premium metal fittings rather than relying on ordinary plastic hardware.

Chain & Metal

Chain and Cuban link dog collars provide an entirely different look and feel. They're heavier and more visually dominant than leather or webbing and should always be selected according to the dog's size, neck measurement and intended use.

Dog Collars Australia: Frequently Asked Questions

What types of dog collars are available?

Rogue Royalty offers a broad range of dog collars in Australia, including handmade leather collars, SupaTuff nylon collars and chain-link designs. The collection includes slim, regular and wide-fit options for small dogs through to large and extra-large breeds, with multiple colours, hardware finishes and statement styles available.

How do I choose the correct dog collar size?

Measure around your dog’s neck where the collar will naturally sit, keeping the measuring tape comfortably snug without pulling it tight. Compare that measurement with the size guide on the individual product page rather than choosing by breed alone. Once fitted, the collar should be secure without restricting your dog’s breathing or movement. If your dog has a shory neck a Regular fit or slim fit dog collar has been designed for these type of dog.

What Is the Difference Between Slim, Regular and Wide-Fit Dog Collars?

Slim-fit dog collars have a narrower profile and generally suit puppies, small dogs and breeds with finer necks. Regular-fit collars provide a versatile everyday option for many medium and large dogs, while wide-fit collars offer a broader profile suited to larger, muscular or powerful breeds. Your dog’s neck measurement, build and comfort should determine the final choice.

Which Dog Collar Is Best for a Strong or Large Dog?

Large, powerful dogs generally benefit from a wider, heavy-duty dog collar made from substantial materials with secure fastenings and strong hardware. A wider collar also helps distribute pressure across a greater area of the neck, making it a good choice for strong pullers, working dogs and large breeds.

Our Wide Fit SupaTuff® and leather dog collars feature heavy-duty construction, stainless steel fittings and double-needle buckles for additional strength and security. They are LIFETIME GUARANTEED.

Our full-grain leather collars are also lined with soft Nappa leather padding, providing additional comfort around the neck while helping cushion the force generated by a powerful dog.

For demanding outdoor, training and working environments, our SupaTuff® heavy-duty collars are built for durability and are used by working dogs and professional canine handlers.

Ultimately, the best collar should match your dog's size, strength, activity level and intended use.

What is a Martingale Collar

A martingale collar is a limited-slip dog collar designed to provide greater control and clearer communication without the continuous tightening action of a traditional slip collar. It uses a main neck band and a smaller control loop that tightens when tension is applied to the leash and releases when the tension is removed.

The Rogue Royalty Martingale Collar has been designed by a qualified dog trainer for effective training, handling and everyday control across dogs of different sizes and strength levels.

Unlike conventional collars that rely on a plastic or side-release buckle, our martingale design has no buckle eliminating a common potential breakage point. It features a stainless-steel control chain, stainless-steel sliders and adjusters, together with reflective stitching for increased visibility in low-light conditions.

The wide, comfortable neck band provides a secure fit while allowing controlled corrections and clear communication between dog and handler. When correctly fitted, the limited-slip action tightens under leash tension and releases when that tension is removed.

Built for strength, security and control, the Rogue Royalty Martingale is suitable for training, walking, strong dogs and dogs that may be prone to slipping out of conventional collars.

As with any training collar, supervision, correct fitting and appropriate handling are important. A martingale should be adjusted so its tightening action is limited and does not continuously constrict the dog's neck.

How do I measure for a dog collar?

Wrap a soft tape snugly around the neck where the collar will sit usually on the middle of the neck. That circumference, not weight or breed, determines the correct size. Don't measure an old collar: leather stretches, our collars are built with padding and will give a a different reading. Don't add extra room to the measurement. The sizing already includes the correct comfort margin. Check the collar size guide before ordering.

How long will a Rogue Royalty leather collar last?

Leather is a natural material that has been trusted for millennia in saddlery, armour, protective wear and other demanding applications where strength and durability matter.

A correctly maintained full-grain leather dog collar can last for many years, and our 10-Year Craftsmanship Warranty reflects the confidence we have in the quality and construction of our leather range.

For maximum longevity, apply Rogue Royalty Natural Leather Balm every 2–3 months, allow the collar to air dry naturally after exposure to wet conditions, and store it flat or hanging when not in use.

One of the unique qualities of genuine full-grain leather is how it ages. With wear and proper care, the leather gradually softens and moulds naturally to your dog’s neck, developing character and becoming more supple over time.

Quality leather doesn’t wear out quickly. It wears in.
